Police were called to reports of a shooting on Douglas Avenue at around 3:45am on Saturday 3 October. A short time later, a man was found suffering from gunshot wounds outside Wembley Police Station. Officers gave him emergency first aid before he was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. Later that morning, police and a forensics team had part of the area cordoned off.
