For every little girl, black woman, or simply women in general who hasn’t seen herself behind the camera or on the sidelines yet… I hope you see this and know there’s room for you. I worked hard to get here, and I’m proud of the career I’m building. Being one of the FEW Black sports media creatives at Penn State also makes me think about who gets to see themselves represented in this work. I think about the women pursuing careers in sports, the Black photographers looking for their next opportunity, and the little girls who don’t yet know that a love for sports and creativity can bring them to the sidelines. That keeps me pushing through the challenging days and coming back ready to grow. I hope the work I do and simply being visible while doing it helps someone else feel like her dream is within reach 🫶🏾 📸: khowardphotography | kaleihoward
