The BMW M340i is gone. Meet its successor: the new BMW M350 xDrive, the M Performance version of the G50 3 Series.
In this in-depth walkaround, I'm joined by two BMW engineers. Sebastian is the G50 3 Series product manager, and Georg is responsible for the car's driving dynamics.
We cover everything that sets the M350 apart from the rest of the new 3 Series and from the electric BMW i3 (NA0). That includes the M yellow lights, the M mirrors, the quad exhaust tips, the interior and options, BMW Operating System X, and the new Routines app.
On the driving side, we get into the upgraded B58 inline-six with 326 kW (443 PS) and 48-volt mild-hybrid assist, the ZF eight-speed automatic, xDrive all-wheel drive, the Adaptive M suspension, the new strut brace, and the standard rear differential lock. We also cover the Drift Moment function, which sends all the power to the rear wheels and arrives as an over-the-air update in July 2027.
