How To Do Negative Pull Ups | Correct Technique
Key technique points:
• Use a chair or something similar to stand on so your chin is above the bar before you start, no jumping and no pulling up
• Grab the bar shoulder width apart or slightly wider
• Before you step off, squeeze the scapula together, point the elbows backwards, keep the shoulders down and the core tight
• Lower yourself as slowly as you can all the way down to a dead hang, then step back up on the chair and repeat
Negative Pull Ups train the lats, biceps, rear deltoids and traps through a slow lowering from the top of the bar down to a dead hang.
