Gavin Williams was electric against the White Sox, piling up 11 strikeouts in just five innings of work. He allowed four hits, two earned runs, and three walks, but whenever Chicago threatened, he answered with swing-and-miss stuff. Williams lived in the zone with power and kept hitters off balance all afternoon, turning a postseason start into a strikeout clinic. The performance also put him in rare company in Cleveland history. Williams became the first Guardians pitcher to record 11 or more strikeouts in a postseason game since Bartolo Colón did it back in 1999, a gap of 27 years. For a young arm still building his reputation, it’s the kind of October outing that announces he’s ready for the biggest stage. #baseball #mlbpostseason #mlb #guardiansbaseball #feed
