Austin Abrams is the only actor who didn’t bail on Zach Cregger’s original Weapons cast after the film was delayed due to scheduling issues. And now Austin is the lead of Cregger’s latest film, Resident Evil. In this clip Zach explains what happened with the original cast and Austin explains why he remained in the cast, despite getting other offers, which also meant he had to maintain the lighter weight of the Weapons character throughout the time it took to recast and then move into the new production schedule. Clip from our hour long conversation for my “On Film…With Kevin McCarthy” podcast. Links in bio for YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Go see Resident Evil.
