No. 7 AUM earned a 1-0 Gulf South Conference victory over No. 15 UAH on Sept. 26 at the AUM Soccer Complex in Montgomery, Alabama. Alan De Paula scored the match’s only goal in the 35th minute, finishing a bicycle kick after Malik Mawd’s corner was headed into his path by Luke Butcher. UAH pushed for an equalizer throughout the second half, but AUM goalkeeper Jakob Buhrkuhl made five saves to preserve the shutout. The victory was AUM’s fifth straight and moved the Warhawks to 5-0 in conference play, while De Paula’s decisive strike marked his second goal of the season. #CollegeSoccer #GSCSoccer
