“Learning never exhausts the mind.” — Leonardo da Vinci
More than 500 years after his death, Leonardo’s way of thinking feels surprisingly relevant to the AI age.
He did not separate art from science, engineering from nature, or observation from imagination. His method was built around *Saper Vedere* — knowing how to see — and constantly connecting ideas across disciplines.
If Leonardo were alive today, I do not think he would simply use AI for answers. He would use it to ask better questions, test ideas, connect fields and extend human curiosity.
“AI would not replace his curiosity. It would multiply it.”
As we move into an era of autonomous agents, synthetic content and increasingly powerful AI systems, Leonardo’s emphasis on observation, experimentation and evidence becomes even more important.
Perhaps mastering AI requires something much older than AI itself.
It requires learning how to see.
