Tim Hortons says its sixth annual Orange Sprinkle Donut campaign raised $979,000 for Indigenous organizations across Canada.
The campaign ran on September 30, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, with restaurant owners donating 100 per cent of Orange Sprinkle Donut sales. It was developed in 2021 by a group of Indigenous Tim Hortons restaurant owners and has now raised more than $6.2 million.
This year’s proceeds will support the Orange Shirt Society, the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund, the Indian Residential School Survivors Society, Ulnooweg Education Centre and, in Quebec, the New Pathways Foundation.
