That's what I felt at the doors today.
For years, I've heard people tell me they've lost hope. Promises came and went.
#Elections came and went. And too many people stopped believing that anything would really change.
Etobicoke North is forgotten!
You can feel that despair when you speak to people.
But today, I felt something else.
Hope.
One door opens. Then another.
Someone asks for a lawn sign.
Then another family asks.
Then another.
And suddenly you realize: people still want to believe.
Maybe things don't have to stay this way.
Maybe Ward 1 doesn't have to accept being forgotten.
Maybe there can be a new generation with the energy to fight, the courage to think bigger and the heart to actually listen.
Maybe there is some goodness left in politics.
And maybe—just maybe—there could be hope again.
