At the age of thirteen, as I was advancing through the ranks at Scores & Valued Girls Football Academy, football was all I ever really was. During the day I would dream about joining the top leagues and in the evenings I used to watch games with my father, firmly believing that if I didn’t get a professional contract then my life was pretty much over.
