Big news from the 2026 Arizona Governor's Conference on Tourism. 🏆 Discover Salt River was honored in the Marketing Initiative category for the Central Region, recognized for the Salt River Hospitality Campaign, including our first Official Visitor Guide, the interactive Salt River Art Trail, and our developing Cultural Awareness Program. Held in Tucson this past August, the conference also featured Tourism Manager Maleena Deer as a panelist for "Designing Tourism With Your Community, Not Around It," where she spoke on co-creating tourism alongside local voices, elevating community pride, and building authentic, inclusive travel experiences from the inside out. This recognition reflects the work of the whole team, from frontline visitor communication to social media to our partnerships across the Community.
