ashleywalters is set to make his directorial debut with #Animol, a brutal film set within a young offenders institution that stars Stephen Graham, Tut Nyuot, Vladyslav Baliuk, Sekou Diaby and Sharon Duncan-Brewster. “From the moment Troy (Nyuot) arrives, he is tested. Paired with a volatile cellmate, he is forced to deal with daily threats and power struggles. An unspoken bond with a fellow inmate offers solace in the oppressive environment, but their growing connection becomes a dangerous vulnerability,” reads the official description. ‘Animol’ premieres this Sunday (October 11) as part of the BFI London Film Festival before a full release on October 30.
