It’s Banned Books Week, so here’s the story behind Cafe Resistance, my bookstore in Jacksonville. It started with a daughter who didn’t like to read and a legislature that kept pulling books off shelves. It grew into a space where kids in our neighborhood can get free tutoring and become stronger readers. Today it’s a community space where folks in Jacksonville can drink coffee, grab a bite and pick up the books the state tried to pull off the shelves. #BannedBooksWeek #AngieForFlorida
