A little piece of home made its way to campus. 🧡 OSU parents gathered outside Edmon Low Library for Hugs From Home, handing out snacks, hugs and encouragement to students during the semester. For junior nutrition major Rachel Dionisio, the event was a reminder that people are willing to show up for students. > “I think it’s really sweet to see people take time out of their own day to be there for us.” Sophomore nursing major Maggie Nokes said her first reaction was “gratitude,” adding that it was meaningful that parents took time out of their busy schedules to give to students they didn’t even know. The event began during COVID-19 and is held once each semester. Hugs From Home will be back in the spring.
