KWAK HYUN JOO REWORKS THE RULES OF TAILORING At the Gangnam Festival, Kwak Hyun Joo presented her Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Mirroring, on Dosan-daero in Seoul. The collection draws on the image of the magic mirror from Snow White, bringing it into the context of artificial intelligence and the screens that increasingly shape contemporary life. The clothes are built around altered proportions and irregular construction. Oversized blazers, shifted shoulders, asymmetric shirts and wide trousers replace the neat lines of conventional tailoring. Pinstripes appear alongside floral prints and graphic patterns, while chiffon and chenille soften heavier suiting. Patchwork, draping and ruffles add further variation to the silhouettes.
