#FlashbackFriday - We proudly closed out September by joining the africanamericandayparade as Grand Marshal and the inaugural recipient of the AADP Community Institution Award, a powerful recognition of our enduring role as a cultural beacon and treasured institution rooted in Harlem. From Saturday’s Community Literacy, Health & Culture Festival to Sunday’s parade, our incredible Apollo fam showed up in full force: Charlene “Chi-Chi” Smith (itsmechi_chi) brought Groove Theory to the festival, #AmateurNightApollo 2024 winner therealcruzangel kicked off Sunday’s pre-show celebration, and DJ SLID3 (_slid_3) kept our float moving to the beat…And we didn’t let the weather rain on our parade. Thank you to every staff member, friend, supporter, Board Member and community partner who walked alongside us, or cheered us on from the sidelines. 👉🏾 Swipe to see some highlight moments. We’ll see you same time next year! 📸 ricksphotography.nyc
