The hardest part of postpartum fitness might actually be your ego.
I know what my body is capable of. I know how strong I’ve been. I know what I want to be able to do.
So when my body says, “not today,” it can be really f*cking annoying😂
But that’s the thing about women’s fitness, especially after having kids: you don’t get to speed run the process just because you know what you’re doing.
I’m 9 months postpartum with my second baby, navigating my 40s, motherhood, work, and a body that is still figuring some things out.
So I’m learning to train with my body instead of constantly trying to prove something to it.
That doesn’t mean lowering the bar.
It means knowing when to push, when to modify, and when to stop making everything a test.
Postpartum fitness is a long game. So is getting stronger.
Save this for the days your body humbles you, and just know that you’re not alone in this feeling.
