We warned about the flip flops. Fall at Crater Lake National Park can be feeting, err, fleeting? And, frankly, a little ghostly. There’s an island in the middle of the lake called Phantom Ship, because apparently one spooky thing wasn’t enough.
Just as quick as fall arrives, the temps tend to drop, a fog rolls in, and before you can say the name of a certain ghost with the striped suit three times, it’s showtime!
Oops! We meant…winter!
