What's driving global trade? Despite tariff turbulence and geopolitical conflicts, global trade growth is accelerating. According to the latest DHL Globalization Tracker, one of the biggest drivers is AI. Demand for AI-enabling goods such as semiconductors and data transmission equipment is booming. In 2025, these products accounted for 42% of global goods trade growth. A few other key findings: 🌍 Globalization reached a record level. 📈 Global goods trade grew faster in the first half of 2026 than in any half-year in the past 15 years (excluding the exceptional pandemic rebound). ➡️ Global goods trade is projected to grow by 3.4% annually through 2029.
