James Leahy was born and raised on Staten Island. He lived there with his wife, Marcela, and their three sons. To save for the boys’ education, Leahy worked two part-time jobs while serving as an NYPD officer at the 6th Precinct. On 9/11, Officer Leahy responded to the North Tower, carrying supplies up to firefighters. He was 38 years old. #NeverForget911 #911Museum
