It’s called CMA fest now, but my first year at this event was as a fan waiting in line to get photos and autographs from my favorite artists The year was 1987 and I had just arrived in Nashville and managed to snag a pass into the fairgrounds. Pictured here are some photos I got that day with John Anderson,Steve Earle and Gary Morris. I also snapped a lot of other candid photos and got autographs from the likes of some “newcomers” like Holly Dunn, Patty Loveless and the late great Keith Whitley. Then a short 9 years later I made my own Fan fair debut … have a great time this week everyone, and don’t forget to dream! Happy 50th anniversary to Fan Fair and the cma festival !! #cmafest #fanfair
