This is a drawing of New York City made entirely with my 70-year-old Olympia SM3 typewriter, 1,100 feet above Manhattan 🇺🇸 I took my red hot-rod-painted 1960s Olympia SM3 to The Edge at Hudson Yards and spent 3 weeks typing this piece letter by letter. You might spot some interesting typed details 🔍 A unicyclist. Someone doing yoga. People soaking up the view. And, somehow, a couple having a picnic 1,100 feet in the air. No undo button. If I make a mistake, or what I call a “typo”, then I just hope nobody spots it 😅 It was a wonderful location to bring my 75-year-old machine and draw the incredible views of lower Manhattan.
