British banknotes are about to get a wild makeover 🦔🐝🦉🐧 The Bank of England has confirmed that a European hedgehog, buff-tailed bumblebee, barn owl and Atlantic puffin will feature on the next £5, £10, £20 and £50 notes. They will replace Winston Churchill, Jane Austen, JMW Turner and Alan Turing after nearly 500,000 people took part in the Bank’s biggest-ever imagery vote. Which animal gets each note has not been decided yet, these are just mock-up designs we have made. The new designs are still several years away and King Charles will remain on the other side. From wartime leaders and codebreakers to hedgehogs and puffins. Which one deserves the £50? 💷 #fiver #tenner #ladbible
