๐ 3 settings I NEVER change when shooting hockey ๐ธ
These are my starting points for pretty much every game:
โก 1. Shutter: 1/1000
Fast enough to freeze the action without sacrificing too much light.
๐ฏ 2. AF-C / AI Servo + tracking
Hockey moves way too fast to be relying on single-point focus. I want my camera constantly tracking the player.
๐ 3. Aperture: f/4
I know everyone loves shooting at f/2.8, but f/4 gives me a little more depth of field and helps keep the player sharp when theyโre moving toward or away from me.
Of course, Iโll adjust depending on the rink and lighting, but these are the settings I build around.
What settings are you shooting hockey with? ๐
