Shooting sports at f/2.8 isn’t ALWAYS the move 📸 Yes, it gives you that beautiful background blur and lets in tons of light… but when you’re shooting fast-moving athletes, that super shallow depth of field can work against you. If your focus is slightly off, you might get the hands sharp but the face soft. And in sports photography, the face is usually what matters most. Sometimes stopping down to f/4 or even f/5.6 gives you a little more room for error while still giving you plenty of separation from the background. I’d rather have a slightly noisier photo that’s SHARP than a clean photo that missed focus 🤷‍♂️ Don’t just shoot at f/2.8 because your lens can.
