🌿✨ The true guardians of our planet have always been here. From deep forests to vibrant oceans, Indigenous Peoples and local communities protect the vital ecosystem that sustains all life on Earth. Last August, more than 80 Indigenous Peoples and local communities gathered in Arborek Island, Raja Ampat, to strengthen solidarity in protecting Indigenous lands, waters, and biodiversity. They came from the archipelago of Raja Ampat and other parts of Indonesia, and also welcomed Indigenous representatives from Amazon, Africa, and Malaysia. As threats of destruction grow, their resistance and collective power keep nature standing and resist extractivism. We don’t have time to wait.
