Experiential learning is one of the most valuable aspects of a newhousesu education. newhouse_vis students got the opportunity to do just that, immersing themselves in hands-on, project-based visual storytelling across Scotland in June 2026. 🏴The trip was led by Michael O. Snyder, an assistant professor of visual communications.
Students spent two weeks in the capital city of Edinburgh partnering directly with a local nonprofit to produce a multimedia project addressing social and environmental issues. The course culminated with a week at Bamff, a centuries-old estate at the forefront of the rewilding efforts in the Highlands.
