When people visit Eisenach for the Wartburg but miss this gorge just south of town ππΏ
Dragon Gorge (Drachenschlucht) is a canyon with moss-covered rock walls so close together you can almost touch both sides, and at its narrowest itβs only about 68 cm (just over 2 feet) wide. A stream runs right under your feet, covered by metal grates so you stay dry the whole way π§ Itβs named after a legend that a dragon once lived in its damp passages, and it truly feels like walking through a fairytale.
