Ahead of Saturday's Money in the Bank ladder match in New Orleans, Je'Von Evans says Paul Heyman is the person he goes to for promo advice.
'That's my number one guy, most definitely, and he understands that, like, I just talk so different.'
Evans said Heyman gets how he talks because he worked with New Jack, who was one of Evans' trainers and worked for Heyman in ECW. 'It's great just being able to, you know, go to Pauly and be like, "Hey, what do you think about this?" or "Should I say this?"'
Evans had his first match at 13. He said he avoided promos on the independent scene because he was a kid going against grown adults: 'Nobody's gonna believe that, bro. Like, I didn't like my voice.'
He said signing with WWE made him lock in on promos: 'So it's probably about to get dangerous. I'm not even gonna lie to you, man. It's about to get real dangerous.'
