On October 2, 2026, Bowie State University hosted its annual HBCU Entrepreneurship Conference, continuing a tradition that began in 2021.
Organized and hosted by the Entrepreneurship Innovation Center, the conference brought students together with business leaders and fellow HBCU students to explore entrepreneurship, networking, business development, and the growing impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the economy. Bulldogs participated in experiential learning activities, heard from guest speakers, and explored ideas surrounding innovation, HBCU pride, and building a business in a changing economy.
President Dr. Aminta Breaux also shared her perspective on the conference and the importance of developing a strong work ethic for aspiring entrepreneurs looking to turn their ideas into reality.
