The 30th "Castells" human tower competition was held on on October 4, 2026 in Tarragona, Spain. Castellers build these human towers with precise techniques and compete in groups, know as "colles", at local festivals in the months before the annual competition. The Catalan tradition is believed to have originated from human towers built at the end of the 18th century by dance troupes. I October 4, 2026 I 📷️: davidramosgetty I #GettyImages
