As Halloween approaches, we will be highlighting throughout October some of the odd, creepy, absurd, or stranger cuts from our print shop at the Sacramento History Museum. In this video, Howard letterpress printed a photo engraving likely made in the 1940s. It shows a cartoon caricature of a boy and girl with large heads and doll-like facial expressions. This was printed with orange oil base ink using our Washington hand press, which was made in 1852. #SacHistoryMuseum #halloween #spookyseason #museumtok #printing
