A Gen1 Coyote with a tune and 3.73s is the most fun per dollar in the V8 world, and I'll die on this hill. The solid axle jokes are free, and the S197 still gets the last laugh when the light turns green.
The order is the whole secret. Tune first, because anything bolted on before it is just noise. Gears next, but know your ceiling going in. Then drop it and actually fix the geometry, because lowering a solid axle car and ignoring the panhard is how you end up with a rear end sitting off-center under the body. Finish on square 18s, flush.
One warning the forums skip: the fronts are where S197s bite back. Measure your clearance before you fall in love with an aggressive offset.
Save this for when you're shopping.
