Had to share some behind the scenes moments from my perspective as I got to tag along to see Melvin join a handful of incredible people as recipients of the Ripple award - which honors those from Columbia, SC who have achieved great things and continue to give back as well as represent and keep their home city at the forefront. When you think about what that really means, I know it was humbling and extremely meaningful for Melvin - but also so special for me to see - making me more grateful I was part of his first stop in DC after he left the Palmetto State:) #hometown #family #southcarolina
