Today is #WrongfulConvictionDay, a day to raise awareness of the causes of wrongful convictions, the reforms needed to prevent them, and the lasting impact they have on people and their families. Through makinganexoneree, we have reinvestigated 83 cases and helped 14 individuals return home to their families. Collectively, these individuals served more than 300 years in prison for crimes they didn’t commit. We’re proud of the work that has helped bring people home, while knowing there are still so many people waiting for the chance to return to theirs.
