#Repost @blacknews ... Solange Knowles (@solangeknowles) made history when she launched the Saint Heron Digital Archive Library, allowing the public to borrow rare, out-of-print, and first-edition books by Black and brown authors, poets, and artists. She comments, “The Saint Heron Library is home to our archival collection of primarily rare, out-of-print, and 1st edition titles by Black and brown authors, poets, and artists.” She also added that the project aims to create free access to critical thought and expression as demand for those works rises. Books ship at no cost, and borrowers can return them after 45 days so others can read them too. #blackgirlsrock #blackgirlmagic #blackexcellence #blackhistory melanin
