Two hikers learned the hard way that Google Maps and the Superstitions don’t mix. The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office says it got a call about two distressed hikers in Lost Dutchman State Park. The couple had been navigating with Google Maps and got lost near Hieroglyphic Trail. Search and Rescue deputies responded in the PCSO’s Super Huey and hoisted the pair to safety. PCSO says the couple got a sunset over the Superstitions on the way out that they will never forget. The deputies also had a pro tip for everyone heading out on a trail: don’t use Google Maps to hike. Have you ever followed a map app somewhere you shouldn’t have?
