Phoenix is leading the country in new hotel openings this year.
According to Lodging Econometrics, the Phoenix market is projected to open 26 new hotels with roughly 3,615 rooms by the end of 2026, more hotel openings than any other major U.S. market.
New York and Dallas are each projected to open 20 hotels this year. Phoenix also has 31 hotel projects totaling more than 4,600 rooms currently under construction.
The boom isn’t stopping there either. Phoenix is projected to open another 16 hotels in 2027, which would rank behind only Dallas and Atlanta.
Does the Valley need this many new hotels, or would you rather see more housing built? 👀
