Youth leaders Amani and Samson from specialolympicskenya brought their vision to life through the Youth Innovation Grant project, Youth at the Helm, during the specialolympics.africa Regional Youth Summit. From coordinating speakers and cultural performances to serving as emcees and event organizers, they led the planning and delivery of the Welcome Dinner and Entertainment Program from start to finish. Their project highlights the power of youth leadership, innovation, and youth-driven action, demonstrating what is possible when young people are empowered to take ownership, lead with confidence, and create meaningful impact. The result was more than a successful event. It gave youth a chance to showcase their creativity, strengthen their leadership skills, and inspire others through action.
