This moment captured everything I have loved about General Conference weekend. For as long as I can remember, I have loved gathering to listen, learn, and feel the power of messages that point us to Jesus Christ. That love has only grown through the years. In my 44 years, I have watched more than 85 General Conference sessions, and this one will always be especially meaningful. To hear my brother Tim speak and invite all of us to put Jesus first was powerful. His simple words have stayed with me: “It’s what we do, isn’t it?” Then came this moment. Right after he spoke, his grandson stood in the aisle holding up a little notebook to send a message to his Pa. When I asked if I could see it, it read: “We put Jesus first. #1 happy.” I could not help but think that after hearing his grandpa, he wanted his Pa to know that message had reached his own heart too.
