Sometimes God teaches us most clearly by contrast. We saw and experienced some inspiring things in Thailand, but when we asked the question to our kids and ourselves at the end of the trip, what was the highlight, everyone unanimously said worshiping in our church’s Bangkok Temple. One step out of the noise and into His presence teaches and inspires us in incredible and powerful ways. The louder the world becomes, the more sacred the quiet of the Lord feels. Walking off one of the busiest streets in a city of 13 million people and into the quiet, sacred house of the Lord was a contrast we will never forget. In the temple we met young missionaries, all from China, all preparing to serve in Australia. Their faith was simple, pure, and powerful. Their excitement to be in and learn within the walls of the temple was moving.
