What an honor and blessing to take this father and son on their first hunt, to witness their first harvest, and to feel the spirit of this moment. This smile is forever seared into my memory. You’re looking at a man whose joy you cannot steal. Brian is climbing a mountain none of us would ever want to face. Just nine months before this hunt he was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a large brain tumor. He has undergone major surgery and rounds of treatment, but even this cannot steal his joy. Around the campfire, while talking about miracles, Brian said, “We all experienced one today… we are living another day… what a blessing.” No truer words.
