What a week for our family, and especially for our daughters. One returning from Brazil, and one preparing to go to Brazil. Then a week later we found ourselves in one of the temples of the Lord, where last night Kenzie furthered her commitment and relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. I am deeply excited and proud of Kenzie’s commitment to serve a mission, but in a way even more deeply excited and proud of the steps she took last night in this sacred place. What a blessing it was for her to experience this at the same time as her cousin Jake, who is also preparing to depart on a mission to New York New York. The youth of our world have choices to make with long-lasting and eternal significance. So many are choosing and seeking the Lord. In our faith, children are raised looking to and loving to see the temple, with a desire to one day go inside to receive ordinances and make promises to the Father that will bind and strengthen their relationship with Him.
