This verse stood out to me in my study this morning: “Behold, I went to hunt beasts in the forests; and the words which I had often heard my father speak concerning eternal life, and the joy of the saints, sunk deep into my heart.” — Enos 1:3 Reading this, memories of my own hunts over the years came rushing back, but this photo my brother sent me this week stood out. Three generations together, spending time in the mountains, focusing our time and attention on each other. I’ve found that my time in the forest always leads me to reflection. Just like Enos, as I walk through God’s creation, I think about the words of my father. His words always point me back to the source of eternal life and joy, both in the present and through the eternities.
