Hallie taught us about sacrifice her last night before departing to Brazil. My brother Tim gave us a special recommendation to have our family be the first family Hallie teach as a full time missionary. What she shared about sacrifice was powerful and so relevant for the task at hand. I am in awe more now than I ever have been at the courage, commitment, and desire young missionaries have to put good things on hold for a time to seek after and share that which is of GREATER worth and value than anything else. The opportunity to sacrifice is not only available to missionaries. Just this week I’ve loved watching my wife spend a good portion of time preparing a lesson she taught today at church. Her dedication was a blessing to many, including me and my children who got to learn about what she studied and shared.
