Today was a special day, for so many reasons. The family being gathered, the support of those we love and feel loved by, and the excitement for this new adventure Hallie and our family are about to embark upon. But mostly what made this day a special day for me was witnessing my child stand boldly and with humble confidence to proclaim her witness of Jesus Christ, His life, His sacrifice, and His gospel, and that He is the true source of JOY! Hallie gave a beautiful visual of the life she has been blessed to live thus far and the steps she’s taken that have brought her to the point of choosing to serve a mission. Baptism being that first and vital ordinance that put her on the path as a disciple of Jesus Christ. She said something to the effect that “as a disciple of Jesus Christ I now know that I have an opportunity and responsibility to be a defender of the faith and a proclaimer of truth”. Wow…what a powerful opportunity. Personal study, prayer, receiving answers from God to...
