Hunting Day 6 : The day of the Sable. Beckham waited patiently for his turn on one of his favorite animals, the Sable Bull. We walked the river bottoms in search of a nice Sable for Beckham. After waking for a while we bumped one out of its bed and followed its tracks for about 4-5 miles, spotting him every once in a while along the way. Once the wind was in our favor we saw him bed down out in an open field. With not a lot of coverage Beckham went with Paul and Willem on an army crawl while we hid in the bush. It was fun to watch them stealth-fully make their way to a better position for a shot. Beckham made a perfect shot on this beautiful sable bull. I was proud of Beckham not rushing his turn on this hunt. He was ready to have his turn but waited patiently while others were focused on. He is a good brother to his sisters and a great son to us.
