We’re so excited to share Team 20 member Abbey’s music video. Abbey says this song is about how she sometimes has a hard time staying in the moment and using words to describe how she is feeling. Old memories and categories can pop into her head and take over her language, so she reminds herself to use the strategy “Right Here, Right Now.” She does this by looking out the window or talking about things that are right in front of her. For Abbey, many old memories bring up sad feelings about having autism, especially times when she felt isolated and alone and wanted so badly to feel part of the world around her. But she has come so far.
