Frankfurt's Book Fair has seen publishers explain the role artificial intelligence is playing in the industry, including in research and further opening international markets with more efficient translations of books. Experts say human editors are still fundamental, but AI is changing the process. Some in the industry remain skeptical of AI generated books, saying “if you're asking people to take the time to read it, it's only fair you've taken the time to write it”.
